The OpUs Verte+: sustainable PCR trigger sprayer in various colors
At Bark Packaging Group and Berlin Packaging we focus very much on sustainable solutions. That is why we are very excited about the new feature regarding the trigger sprayer from our supplier AFA Dispensing. The OpUs Verte+ is a fully plastic precompression trigger sprayer with up to 67% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) resin as the mainstream solution. The sprayer is made of polyolefin, making it easy to recycle.
GUARANTEED LIFESPAN OF 10,000 STROKES
The lifespan has a guaranteed amount of 10,000 strokes (according to AFA). This means that a single OpUs Verte+ sprayer can be reused for up to 27 bottles of 500 ml liquid product, making it a cost-effective and environment-friendly choice.
UP TO 67% PCR-RESIN AS THE MAINSTREAM SOLUTION
As the global push for more environment-friendly packaging solutions continues, the availability and quality of PCR resin is improving. True to its mission of ‘re-inventing liquid dispensing’, AFA’s Research & Innovation (R&I) team searched for a resin made from 100% PCR material and used it to replace all the parts in the previous model that were made from a combination of virgin and PCR resin. The result is a product with a 67% overall content of recycled material, the highest percentage of any OpUs trigger sprayer.
LOWER TAX, BETTER AFFORDABILITY
Given increasing regulations to reduce the use of plastic in the EU, the PCR content in a product can in some cases significantly reduce national taxes.
